Very rigid - holds the phone tightly. It’s no thicker than other max protection cases and I’m liking the hidden compartment. Going wallet free right now and it’s liberating. I use a magnetic mount in the car and it holds securely without adding anything to the case. The fingerprint reader works well, just feels different due to the thickness of the case on the back. Deep edges protect the screen when upside down. Solid, comfortable, and well designed.

This case is great for carrying my Pixel 5a and a couple of cards without hauling the entire wallet around. Cards can easily be slipped in and out from the back no problem, and are concealed well under the flap. Plus, the flap can be folded to make a stand so I could watch videos without additional accessories. Pretty ingenious. Haven’t tried using contactless payment with my phone while it’s in the case, but it is advertised that it can (all of my cards are now tap to pay anyway). Sure, the case adds a bit of bulk to the phone, but that also makes me believe the phone is extra protected from drops. Very nice product, Vena!

I traded in my wallet for a Vena vCommute Wallet case. I’ve usedvthe vCommuter on on my current Pixel 3a for the last three years and its held up beautifully. Can put 4 cards in the case leaving me wallet free! Great solution for us minimalist inclined people. Upgrading to the new Pixel 5a and wouldn’t use anything other than a vCommuter.

This is an excellent constructed case. For anybody that needs to take their phone out of the case on a regular basis this case would probably not work for you because it’s really tight around the phone.. The kickstand doesn’t work that great but mine actually holds four cards which is perfect and it looks really sleek and it’s comfortable to hold

I’m happy with it so far. Only downside for me is that with the faux-leather backing it’ll be hard to add something like a Popsocket or other similar attachment for easier one-handed holding. I find I can grip it pretty easily without it though.

A decent case with a couple annoying flaws

The only reason I may keep this case is so that when I travel or go to concerts I have a convenient place to stash essential cards and cash without taking my wallet. As a daily carry, it is just too bulky. There are a few other little things that are annoying beyond the bulk. Getting to the fingerprint reader is a bit of a pain, requiring you to kind of awkwardly swipe your finger down on the sensor. If you keep long fingernails, this may prove difficult. The back is where things really fall apart. The wallet interior is ok, but holds 3 cards max without having to struggle to get the top one out. The flap is the real problem. There is no way to keep it closed other than the gentle magnet power, which means that it flops open very easily. Your cards won’t fall out, but it is annoying. If you try to use a magnetic mount in your car (like the amazon page suggests) and go around a turn with any gusto, I think there’s a good chance your phone will end up hanging by the wallet flap, followed by the phone and the mount flying across the car.

I am hard on my phones and I need a case with a little substance. I was not expecting a screen cover so I don’t mind that this doesn’t come with one. I just needed something to protect my phone from my butter fingers. I also hate carrying a purse and for the past year, I’d been using a two-card wallet. When I found something to accommodate **three** cards (ID, CC, transit pass) I was doubtful. The mixed reviews and pictures of faulty manufacturing were a little intimidating. I had to try, anyway. Day one: I’m glad I did. •it fits my hand perfectly •with my medium length nails I can easily access the fingerprint reader •The buttons of my phone are responding well via the cutouts. I have just set a calendar reminder to come back in three months to update you. 🤞🽠Update from April: This case has has held up beyond expectations. It has withstood several small drops and doesn’t look any different than when I slipped it on my phone the first time. Because it’s black, it attracts the sunlight and holds heat making the phone overheat and power down in warmer months. This is only an issue when I mount the phone on the dash while driving in the summer. This is NOT enough of a deterrent as this case perfectly fits and gives me easy access to three cards. I call this case my purse!

I really love this case. It’s chic, looks like quality with the rich burgundy leather. The grip is perfect but still retains a beautiful gold finish. It fits well on the 7 plus and around the camera. All the openings and buttons are prescise. I haven’t dropped it yet, but so far so good.
