This case is better for the gold iPhone because the window on the back for the camera is open all the way across exposing the phone underneath which is aesthetically unappealing but also leaves the device exposed to potential damage. The inner grip is an off white/cream color and imo doesn’t pair well if your device is black or silver. It does do it’s job in protecting the device from drops but the "gold" scratches pretty easily. Also the the hardwear for the volume/power buttons are painted silver instead of gold and scratch easily as well. All in all though the price can’t be beat if your looking for inexpensive way to protect your device and give it a little fashion.

There are many other cases which are better than this. That being said, if all you care about is slim/minimal, with good visual appeal, then by all means, go ahead! This might protect your device in a small drop, but other than the interesting design, it is pretty average. It’s pretty slim, but still has an ever so slight bezel, which makes it a step up from the really slim cases about there. Buttons were easy to press and all ports are accessible. It’s a great backup case, but should not be the primary one you use to protect a very expensive investment. Grip is okay, on the slippery side, but manageable. These are my own thoughts and in no way did the discount sway me in my opinions. I rate as though I had paid full price for the item, because cost factors into your overall happiness with a product, after all. I’m happy to answer any questions. I absolutely love this cover! The colors are lovely; the gold is only a slightly paler variation of the iPhone Gold, and the blue leather is smooth and rich in color. Inserting the phone was easy (a literal "snap"). The case as a whole feels study. The sides are smooth but not so much as to prevent a firm grip. I know a phone case is a phone case and it’s more about protecting the phone than being a work of art... But this case perfectly blends beauty and efficiency!
