  1. Looking for a "Rugged", yet simple "Wallet case", with basic "Stand" capability for your iPhone 7 Plus? Look no further.
    Rating
    100%
I bought this phone case, even though I had another case for my iPhone 7 Plus, because I had started looking for iPhone cases with card-holding capability (and something with other capabilities, like a phone-stand etc.), and found this option to be one of the most highly recommended/well-rated case. TL;DR: No doubt this has such great ratings on Amazon! I am very happy that I chose to buy this case for my iPhone 7 Plus!! I have been using this case since I bought it about 11 months ago, until now, and have been very happy with it, knowing that I don’t have to carry my wallet anymore, especially when I want to carry less items in my pocket (like, when going to bars or nearby restaurants, going to a friend’s place etc.). The case can carry 2 cards (a credit card and a driver’s license) and some cash (maybe 4-5 notes). This case may not be the best-looking case out there, but it is extremely tough and rugged, such that it protects your phone from most of your casual drops, and some really rough accidents. It surely protects the corners and the rear-side without any damage. To give an example, once while riding my bike, I had mounted my iPhone (while in this case) to my bike and it fell off the mount when the road got bumpy. The phone rolled some distance along with the bike on the unpaved/gravel road, until finally it was stuck between the rear-tire and the gravel road. Not a single hit or scratch to my iPhone was caused, while the cover got a little scraped off (See image). My point is, your phone is safe in this case. Note that I have a tempered glass screen protector on my iPhone, but this case still does, what it is supposed to do, well. Even though the case has a wallet, it may not carry all your items. As mentioned above, if you carry just a couple cards and some cash (no coins), it does the job perfectly! But if you need more cash, it may not fit in this case, or may add some bulk to it. Lastly, the case on the rear-side alternately acts as a stand for your phone. It can be really useful if you want to use your phone at a more flat angle than a vertical one. In my experience, the multi-level adjustments are not super useful at most times, as the magnet is slightly weaker than required to retain these adjustments properly. Without comparing with any other wallet case (since I have not bought any other wallet case), I would give it the following ratings: Looks (Bulkiness, Elegance):- 2.5/5 iPhone-Stand (Stability, Adjustments):- 3.5/5 Wallet (Carrying capacity, ease-of-use, Light-weight, Protects your cards/cash):- 4.0/5 Ruggedness/Protects your Phone: 4.75/5

  2. Love it, but it has one design drawback **UPDATE: 2020 - Improved
    Rating
    100%
**UPDATE 2020 - I am still using this case because I love it. The last one I purchased (back in November 2019 for an iPhone 11) seems to have an improved design. The rim is higher than the phone screen even with a screen protector. With this improvement, I give the case a well deserved 5-star rating! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have been using this case for the past 2 years and have absolutely LOVED it. The *only* drawback I have found is the reason it has a 4-star rating from me. The height of the case’s edge compared to my phone screen isn’t high enough to protect it like my previous phone cases have done (like my Incipio Stashback for an iPhone 5). I purchase screen protectors for my phones and have never had a problem with them getting cracked or ruined. They lasted as long as my phone did because the edge height on the case kept the screen safe. With this case, I have had to replace the screen protector several times because the height of this case isn’t enough to protect from even the simplest drop. The screen w/the protector is actually higher than the phone case, unlike the phone cases I have used in the past (the protector was still below the rim of those cases). Regarding the rest of the case, I love the magnetized cover. It has kept multiple cards safe without any issue, even after two years. I love that it looks like a regular case. I like the built in stand. The case is very protective of my phone, except for the one design flaw I outlined above.

  3. Love it!

So far so good. Just got this today and while it works exactly how I was hoping it would and fits perfectly (I have an iPhone 7+). Yes there is bulk added to your phone, but it’s basically a wallet so that’s to be expected. I’m actually more comfortable holding my phone in this case honestly, and the case itself is lovely. I ended up going to the store after getting my case on my phone and I wanted to use Apple Pay. It was both for convenience and to test out the case since it has a magnet backing, and it passed the test! I’m really impressed and I’ve only had this case for about three hours now. Time will tell in regards to durability, but I’m confident this case can handle it. I’ll update in the future if there are any issues, but if you don’t see anything from me then that should be telling enough. That this case is worth the money you spend on it. I hope this helps you in your decision making, but I really think that this case is perfect for anyone who needs something durable and convenient.

  4. Great Case!! Who carries cash anyway?
    Rating

I had a folding case with 8 credit cards in it before. It was bulky and the exposed edges of the cards scratched my phone screen/screensaver. I slimmed down to just 2 cards, health insurance card and drivers license and discovered that I really wasn’t using those other cards. There is a small space near the bottom of the case that you can fold a $5 bill into or I have folded one in half and slipped it behind the phone, if I need some emergency cash. The manufacturer could have created a bigger secret compartment if the credit card holder was slightly up or down. I added a thick glass screen protector right away. I’ve dropped it on concrete at least 10 times over the last 7 weeks, no problems. The credit card cover isn’t the greatest kickstand but it does function. I haven’t had any material or workmanship issues. The case has a nice grip to it.

  6. A heavy and thick case. Easily fits 3 cards + cash.
    Rating

I got this case because i needed a case which would act as my wallet without covering my phone screen as well as having the kickstand feature(the magnetic flap can be folded into a kickstand.) This case easily fits 3 cards plus one or two cash bills. When you have 3 cards in the card slot the cash bill has to be placed in between the closing flap and the cards as the cash won’t fit within the slot. But the space between the card and the flap is enough to put a cash bill but you have to be careful not to drop it when you open the flap or while using the flap as a stand.I placed one credit, one debit and one metro card in it. It has sort of a vault within the case with a magnetic cover. The magnet is pretty strong and it folds over itself so you can use it as a stand and it has grooves to allow various positioning. The completely closed magnetic flap keeps your stuff pretty safe and your cards aren’t visible from outside. While this case has all these great features, I still ended up returning this case. The reason i ended up returning this was because of its thickness. I couldn’t snap it into on place it on my car mount. Also, the case itself even without the phone is quite heavy! Add the phone to it, and you can even have a little bit of a workout with it. The case i am currently using is a clear case with a stickon wallet placed over it which has a kickstand that can be folded in and out with just a little push with a finger. The stick on wallet only fits two cards though with maybe one cash fill stuck to it. But it stays kind of open and doesn’t completely close over. However,It doesn’t require turning the phone over and folding the flap and turning it into a kickstand physically everytime like This case does. If you need a wallet that fits more than 2 cards along with cash and you don’t mind the thickness and weight then this is for you. If size and weight is an issue, then you might wanna look elsewhere.

  7. Great Protection and Innovative Design but not without Compromise
    Rating
    100%
I had a BulletTrain wallet case for years and I was enamoured with the design. I made the leap to "cashless" and only carry my ID and credit cards with me at all times. First-world problem, I know, but now I am married to my phone case and it has held me back from upgrading my phone for longer than I wanted (which was probably a good thing). Anyway, it took me a LONG time to find an equivalent design for the 7 Plus since BulletTrain is a start-up and are extremely slow to release updates. I would have happily ordered another one without second thought otherwise. Now back to the vCommute.. this case is solidly built and surprisingly well-made given the price. The magnetic flap has held up well for the 3 months that I’ve owned it - no fraying or tearing as I had initially feared. Pros: * Comfortably holds 2 credit cards and two IDs. Note that the raised lettering of a credit card makes it thicker than an ID card so your mileage may vary depending what you carry. * The design is optimal for compactness as the cards aren’t stored in separate compartments (adding unnecessary bulk) * Solid protection all around. Raised edge protects screen when placed screen-down on a table * Nice to hold and phone still fits in jean pockets. Textured back and rubber surrounds * iPad-like Smart Cover flap is a nifty feature and doubles as a stand (landscape only) with multiple angles * Opening for lightning port is large enough to accommodate third party charging cables Cons: * The solid build adds MUCH heft and bulk to your phone - takes a little getting used to but it’s still better than many of the folio type cases in my opinion. * The extended lip of the magnetic flap may bother some as it pokes out a little (to aid access) * Magnetic flap will screw with parking tickets, membership cards and access cards that still make use of antiquated magnetic strips rather barcodes and integrated chips * Magnetic flap impacts accuracy of compass but GPS navigation does not appear to be affected. Maybe a deal killer it you rely on the compass for whatever reason If they could somehow retain the build quality and solid protection but make it much lighter, this would be the perfect wallet case.

  8. Best wallet case I’ve had.
    Rating
    100%
I purchased this case because I wanted one that would hold my drivers license and 2 cards. I was also able to fit my insurance card in there as well, though it is thinner. I don’t think you would be able to fit more than a drivers license and 2 cards and maybe another thinner card like an insurance card or something, but probably not a third charge card. This case goes above and beyond the average wallet case though, as the flap that covers the card compartment can double as a stand to hold the phone up. Some people might not like that using this feature reveals their cards for the world to see, but honestly these card holders aren’t a secret and while at first glance the flap on the back may look like just a decorative feature, anyone taking more than a cursory glance will realize it’s a wallet case. The flap is sturdy and held on by magnets, which when just sitting idle somewhere or waiting is a lot of fun to just play with, opening it and snapping it closed and feeling the magnetic pull. It’s like one of those stress reliever toys, adding (at least for me) another use to this case. The flap can actually hold the phone at any angle you want almost. You can fold it around itself for a single angle, or if you just fold it in half and fold the end portion up, you can set it to magnetically stick to nearer the top making a more angled stand that aims the phone up a bit. Not that many people will really care about a few degrees of angle available on this little thing, but I find it nice when watching something on my phone while cooking and standing above it for example. The cards are very easy to remove. You just slide them out with your thumb. I’ve had several wallet cases but never had any where it wasn’t a struggle to remove my cards. This one is perfect. It gives you a huge area to get a grip of your cards and just slide them out, and the slight slope to the edge of the compartment makes sliding even the bottom one out easy (though you do need to remove all the other cards first). That is the only drawback. You need to put your cards in order of most used to least used, because you don’t want to be removing all your cards to get to the bottom one very often. The case itself is strong and sturdy. It does have a slight lip over the edge of the phone so it feels very strong, but isn’t too thick. A screen protector will still fit on the phone with this case. It feels thick and sturdy so I have no fear from dropping my phone. It is a lot thicker than some cases, due to the card holder aspect of it so it does increase the thickness of the phone by a good bit. This may be a deal breaker for those who love the iPhone for its sleek profile and slim factor. The cutout for the camera is big enough that it doesn’t effect the camera too much for the casual user. I’m sure those with lots of photography knowledge might notice some kind of lighting issue due to shadows from the thick cutout, but I don’t notice it and I don’t think most people would? The buttons work just fine despite being covered with thick rubber, and the speaker grill cutouts let the sound out as intended. All in all this is one of the best wallet cases I’ve ever had and would highly recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind making their phone a little thicker to remove the need for a dedicated wallet.

  9. Not without issues but I really love it so far.

I have always had a wallet case for my phones (I’m a girl and I don’t carry a purse) but I’ve always been worried about cards falling out as the case got stretched out. I was worried about the fact that this only holds 3 or 4 cards but hey, less is more. I now only carry the necessities and with a Plus that’s also a plus. The phone is big enough! The case is sturdy and definitely has some heft to it but I have already received compliments on it. If you don’t put the max number of cards in it you might have to fight a little to get the cards out but the magnet is strong so I’m not worried about them falling out. Who knows how long the battery will last but it has a nice SNAP to it for now. I have to admit that I can’t use the stand function but I may just be an idiot. There’s a tiny piece of paper with diagrams but I wish they would put a little more effort into it and give actual instruction or tips/tricks to make it work. I don’t use my phone often as a screen, I have an iPad for that, but it would be nice to be able to figure that out one day.

  10. Love this Case over Wallet Cases
    Rating
    100%
I read all the comments before making this purchase. I am a wallet case carrier for several years. I thought I would try this case since I had purchased another wallet case but had to send it back. Well I absolutely love this case. Reviews said it is HEAVY. Yes, it is heavy if you aren’t used to carrying a wallet case, but the case is no thicker or heavier than wallet cases that I had used. MUST: You definitely need to order a tempered glass screen protector for your phone. CARD SLOT (Leather flap has STRONG magnet): One comment on putting your cards in the slot provided are that the cards are not meant to be shoved all the way into the slot. Meaning to the opposite side of the phone. I did that and then I had a hard time getting them out. I have 3 cards (2 with raised letters, 1 w/o) and my driver’s licence which I faced upright and with the top side of the card going in first. That way you don’t have to remove your license when showing your ID. Ingenious! I also have a small cloth to clean the screen. OCD kicking in. No bulge and fits nicely. Easy to remove the cards if you use your thumb or finger in the small cut out provided and just a little push down and slide. The cards just pop right out. CAMERA: The cutout for the camera and flash are very substantial. It would be difficult to break any part of those pieces. As far as picture quality, There is no affect whatsoever. I like that the entire phone is encased for protection and that no one knows that you are carrying cards, cash, etc. I haven’t dropped it yet, but I am confident that it would survive a drop or at least I’m hoping. For those of you that have used a case only, you will find this heavy, but the trade off of having a place for cards and cash is well worth it. I have only had this case for 2 days couldn’t be happier. There were some concerns about the lip of the case on the screen side and I can see that it could be a little higher. I am now interested in purchasing the magnet that fits in the CD player slot that will hold my phone in the car. I’m still reading comments on that.
