My phone survived a ten story drop into concrete

I never write reviews. But, I just dropped my iPhone 12 pro max off of a 10 story balcony onto concrete. My Vena brand wallet case, and the iPhone inside both survived! There may have been a little bit of luck involved. It landed on the top right corner. The cards inside it all exploded out and the back of the case flew off. But, I picked it all up snapped it back together and the case is still working fine. The only damage to the phone is a scuff on the corner. Literally no broken glass at all. It’s been working perfectly fine. I cannot believe I dropped this phone ten stories. After witnessing the incident, my friend instantly wanted the link for this wallet case. I had been recommending them for a couple years now, because I love the way it replaces my wallet. But, this really took it to a new level.

It’s good, except for magnetic mounting

One thing I did not like about this phone case was that when you put it on a strong magnetic mount, if you removed it, it would open the wallet or slide it half way open. Other than that, the case seemed durable and was good. I liked the wallet being flush with the case, It was kind of bland and ugly, but it did its job and I’m not mad.

I don’t carry wallets around anymore, they are just too bulky. I always have my phone in my pocket or hand so now I carry my phone with this case that contains the following: 1 main credit card, my ID and my debit card. Also behind all that, I’d fold up a $100 bill or 2 and tuck it in so now I’m carrying back up cash as well. I really do highly recommend, unless you are notorious for losing your phone all the time

My wife and I both love this case. It is so very handy. She still has it on her Galaxy S8+. I had it on mine until the back flap finally wore out after years of rugged use. I was bummed when I couldn’t find a replacement still available for the S8+. I now have the S21 Ultra. I was so pleased to find it available for the model. The magnetic back is terrific, as it allows me to attach the phone on the magnetic mounts in our car without the need for a separate and unsightly piece of steel stuck to the back of the phone. (In years of use, I have never had a card stripe demagnetized as some have claimed. But all my cards have chips now, so I wouldn’t care anyway.) The case makes the large phone much easier to hold. Although it makes the large phone larger this is not an issue with me (and I have small hands). It will fit three cards in the wallet area (with one being an especially thick card), plus one bill (folded in thirds). The design for removing the cards is brilliant. Even though the cards are held securely and will not fall out unintentionally, there is no fumbling or difficulty in removing or inserting cards. Lifting the edge to access the cards can be occasionally difficult, but once you are used to it then it isn’t a problem at all. If the designers had added any kind of latch or lift then it would be obvious it was a wallet case. I prefer it not looking like a wallet case. The stand functionality is great, as it allows for several different landscape viewing angles. It even will hold your phone upright (portrait). We have each dropped our phone several times, from waist height or higher, onto a solid surface without issue. The case buttons are easy to feel and operate the phone without issue. The front edge is high enough that it prevents the front glass from touching a flat surface when laid face down. The rear cameras are recessed deeply for protection. The speaker and sensor holes are large enough to not hamper their function. The USB C hole is large enough to accept attachment to the largest cord end that I’ve ever encountered. It is a great case. PS. We have never used one with this case, but it should accommodate a screen protector without issue. However, if laid face down, the bevel might not be quite high enough to keep the screen protector from touching a flat surface. It would be close.

Unlike some others i’ve tried, this pocket has both a ramp, and a push area. It’s easy to get your finger onto the end of the card, and pushing it slides it up and out. Far better than others I’ve tried.

My friend had this case for her iPhone & I liked the functionality of it, but now that I own it, I find myself wishing it was my spigen case for my old phone. There isn’t anything wrong with it, I just think to get all of the features, you sacrifice other things. The kickstand is a bit wonky, because it has a short platform & it doesn’t cover the whole length of the phone. Makes sense, you can’t cover the cameras. The texture & flap make it just a tiny bit harder to slide into my pocket than my previous hardcase, but of course that one didn’t have a kickstand. This one does hold 3 cards easily but you have to slide them out 1 at a time. These are all very minor, I get that. I just know what I like & this barely misses the mark.

I purchased this for the Galaxy S21 Ultra (which is gigantic and heavy). This case is absolutely wonderful! The back compartment where you store your cards (which holds up to 4) is covered by a magnetic back so you can’t see that the case is also a wallet. Also, at the gym, I like to watch MMA fights as I workout and because of the magnetic back, I can prop it and use the stand to watch fights as I workout when there’s nothing to lay my phone against. I’ve accidentally dropped my phone from 6’+ and the case has fully protected it! The folds on the back give it a good grip when I’m just holding my phone so it won’t slip.

I love the concept of a wallet case. I rarely care a traditional wallet anymore, but I have been searching for the perfect one and this is the best I have found. This case combines a solid protective case with a nice wallet that holds 3 cards and is extremely well concealed. Cards can’t fall out, but are also not difficult to get out. Awesome case.
