Update #2 I talked to the company and explained the problem I was experiencing. Even though I was way out of warranty they sent me a brand new one free of charge. Back to 5 stars. Really love this case. Update #1 Sad news... it happened again, so one less star, for now... will try to reach out to the company. I had the exact same problem as so many others. Occasionally the ‘side button’ would not work. I always want to ’sleep’ the phone (or whatever the correct term is) before I put it in my pocket (so that the phone doesn’t perceive some action being taken on the phone when it’s in my pocket). When it was having this problem I obviously could not, which was a pain in the butt. In the past few days I have NOT seen this problem at all. I’m wondering if others also have seen this problem resolve itself magically? There was a recent iOS update. Did that fix it? When I DID have the problem.... I tried to figure out if it’s the phone (e.g. that button) or the case (i.e. I tried to have the problem when the phone is NOT in the case). It’s the case. I had this problem quite regularly. I found that when I had the problem I could simply open and close the magnetic flap on the back and the problem would go away. I still didn’t like it. Note that when I was trying to figure out what the problem was, when I was having the problem, I would DOUBLE CLICK that same button and the phone DID recognize that, and go to the Apple Wallet function. I would also try to QUINTUPLE CLICK (five times) that same button and the phone DID recognize that (and be ready to dial 911 for me). That told me it’s software and not the button. Bottom line, for me, for now, I haven’t seen this problem in days and I think it’s fixed itself. Would love to hear from others. By the way, I’m on iOS 13.3.1.

This is my second Vena case and I must say it is the best quality phone case out of over 20 cases I have purchased. The product photo includes the additional add-on I put on (Scooch), but even without it, it is a solid case. Taking the card out from the slot is somewhat difficult unless you have a strong nail, but I feel more safe keeping my cards this slot.

I love this case! The color is accurate and looks wonderful with the gold accent. Has a grooved back and is not slippery at all.. The buttons have a nice feel to them and work well. It gives the case good protection and is a little higher on the ends so if you lay it face down the screen doesn’t touch the table. I’m pretty fussy about my phone cases and I give this one a THUMBS UP!!
